I have been pacing around my house not starting anything. I need to do so much, but I have yet to wake up fully. It is almost 3 in the afternoon. I am really tired. Husband and I went to our favorite park and stomped through the woods. It was very fun and very cold. I slept so heavy last night, and wished I still was. I should take a nap, but the clothes in the dryer will be done soon, and I don't want them to wrinkle. sigh...then maybe I will take a nap.
I walked back there and saw piles of stuff everywhere. So I take it slow, start with the garage house first and just work my way through the yard. Apples from the four apple trees squishing below my feet, stumps from newly cut bushes and trees grabbing my toes. Taking it slow, taking it all in. There is so much to see.
I must have taken close to 200 pictures (love digital!) I am getting better at framing at taking pictures. When I started taking pictures I would take 100 pictures and save maybe 25 after I cropped them down and changed the shading etc. But now, it seems I did not touch very many of these at all. I took over 300 pictures on my walk and posted almost 200 on flickr. I just feel like I don't want to miss anything. I get home and start to look through the pictures from my walk on the computer and I see details I had not seen while I was there and wished I had.
It seems I have opened a door inside of myself, I like what I have found.
This was the theme this week in The Photo Safari Society , a look under your bed. I will not photograph this. Since I was a kid I have believed if it ends up under the bed, it is as good as gone. I have not cleaned under my bed for quite some time. There are dust bunnies down there that scare the cats. Water bottles dropped in the middle of the night, hair bands (not like poison, but like goodie rubber bands) I don't know what else is down there. So I found something on the side of the railroad tracks that I say qualifies. It is a bed (not mine). I took my walk along the railroad tracks today and I saw something I have passed 50 times and never noticed. A patch in a very old fence, someone used a telephone pole, railroad spikes as nails, leather straps, and an old bed frame. So, I am posting the bed frame, it is rusty and I am sure it had some kind of monster lurking under it at one point.
Thank you.
Next spring I am going to plant some fruit and veggies, put up a large laundry line.
