I was going to take a long cold walk through the woods, but this large mud puddle BEGGED for my attention, who am I do say "no beautiful pond with layers of bubbles on top of each other and decaying leaves sandwiched between the glassy ice, I will walk past you" I spent 20 minutes photographing these two boys breaking it all up, only after they asked if they could. How polite! They saw me photographing it and did not aim to destroy until after they asked! Husband met me at the bottom of the trail ( he goes on a run through the woods leaving me to photograph whatever fancies me.) by the time I got back into the car, my toes and fingers frozen. So here are some of the pictures I took. There are so many more on flickr.
I mentioned today we had to go out to eat because we were too lazy to get to the store the night before to get some milk. While Husband was paying the bill I went out back in the alley by the old tavern and snapped a few pictures.
Yesterday was cold and icy in the morning. I ran outside in my jammies and slippers to capture the icy feathers that appeared on our car and truck in the night. I LOVE those patterns SO much! They never form in those shapes again. The sun was out and melting all of the ice. Had to capture them quickly!
