Another Hodge podge of photo's from yesterday's walk. It was a bit windy and chilly. I got attacked by yet another orange cat wanting to be loved. Who am I to say no to kitties that want to purr and be scratched under soft chins. I am unsure of a walk today, it is supposed to be nasty. Maybe : )

I LOVE You Autumn, Let me count the ways!

*The Colors are Amazing, my favorite colors, so rich and bright.
*the fresh foods ripening now, tomatoes, apples, squash, and so many others
*Look at the flowers blooming now! I mean They are Amazing!
*the feeling of a soft hand knitted scarf wrapped around my cold neck
*Big warm hats in bright colors keeping my ears all toasty when the cool breeze blows past me with the light smell of decay in the air
*Layered clothing, all of the textures and colors on top of one another
*hot apple cider with cloves swirling around the bottom of the cup
*the leaves falling on the sidewalks, and the crunching sound they make below my feet
*tall striped socks
*rain hitting the roof
*warm blankets pulled from the cedar chest
*a fire in the fireplace
*best book reading weather EVER!
*cold wind caressing my cheeks, while the sun warms it
*mittens
*orange pumpkins



Autumn, welcome back! I missed you.

The fall leaves always remind me of my childhood. I lived in the woods on 7 acres with 5 houses on it, My grandparents, 3 uncles 3 aunts 9 cousins, mom and my sister. Fall was great, there were 4 HUGE maple trees, one held a tree fort, the huge pile of leaves was such fun to jump in. We would spend almost an hour raking these leaves into a pile that towered over a few of my cousins. We would climb into the tree and jump in. The smell of the leaves, the dampness on my cheeks, the slug in my sisters hair. It was great.
