How are you ringing in the New Year tonight?
My husband and I will be learning to play backgammon and watching a movie. We will probably watch some ball drop, or fireworks or whatever on TV and kiss each other on the ringing of the new year. Not the kind of kiss one might want, as we are both sick. We cannot kiss for long without having to breath or we will end up blowing "awesomeness" onto each other. We would be doing the same thing if we were not sick, only a longer kiss.

I am a total pack rat. I love little stuff, I pick stuff up at thrift stores, garage sales, antique stores. I don't have much money, but you would not know it, I am such a bargain hunter. I NEVER pay full price for anything. Another addiction, clearance shopping. I just got Aaron 3 new dress shirts at Macy's for $9.99 each, Calvin Klien, regular price $47! I got a pair of converse there for $13 too! I also found some jeans for $34, that really is a bit high for me to pay, but it is slim pickins for a girl with a 35 1/2 inch inseam. It is difficult to find jeans that fit in the length.
I made these lastnight, my fave is the fair maiden bird, Aarons too. My sister in law thinks that one is creepy. Haha.
What were your New Year's resolutions for 2006? How did you do?
I never make resolutions, I will always dissapoint myself.
So I will make one for this year. I actually have time now that i don't work. I want to make my home look like a home. I grew up in a super disgusting messy home and as a child I was supposed to clean it. I had no structure or an example of how to keep a home clean. So it was always messy. My husbands home was somewhat similar. So I quit my job to keep home. I get really overwhelmed and I just don't do anything. I just made a schedule of daily house cleaning so it is managable tasks, not where the heck do I start. I got the Martha Stewart Homekeeping book for Christmas and for the first time in my life, I folded a fitted sheet. It is not just a molded wad in the linnen closet. Haha, my husband doubted this task, said it cannot be done, but with the help of my step by step diagram and photo spread in the book, I did it! Haha, this book is cool, it has everything in it I swear. It weighs about 3 lbs too.

A Christmas Story
It is funny every time I see it.It was the first Christmas movie I ever saw, I saw its a wonderful life only a few years ago. It sucks being raised without christmas, It does not have any nostalgic magic or wonderful memories about it at all.
But here I sit in my red and white top, and green striped socks all snug inside my red converse, ready to drive an hour to eat at my sister in laws house in Seattle. sigh....

The story of a teacher who makes a difference in a struggling childs life. An inspiring teacher..... blah blah blah.
The movie has been made before! And again and again!

I drink my cup of coffee every mornig, I wake to hear Aaron grinding the lovely organic beans. It is really nice to come into the living room and smelling the coffee brewing in the kitchen.
I finally finished xmas shopping lastnight, well I have to go to toys r us, but I know exactly what I want for Ava. So hopefully in and out, I just jinxed myself.

Are you throwing or attending a holiday party this year? Any ideas/tips to share?
We went on Saturday to my husbands company party. It was ok. He is really shy, not a big talker. He absolutely hates small talk. So he did not know people, and he did not introduce me, so I did it myself. I think I found out more about his co-workers in a few hours than he has known in a year.
