The Bridal Shower

I stressed out, but It went very well. I will not go on about shower games, or gifts, or that we all laughed a lot, smiles across everybody's faces, I will just post pictures of the food. Because that is what the shower is really about, that is why people even come.
I made Banana bread, cranberry walnut bread, strawberry lemonade, water with slices of frozen fruit in it (too many frozen fruits, learned that limes look pretty in it, but really bitter the water a bit) SIL made some decedent brownies with chocolate gonache sauce with fresh strawberry slices and mint leaves, and I got cupcakes for the girls from a local cupcake bakery. Oh and the party favors I made were adorable too, I make homemade soap so this is what I gave away.

Oh, it all looks lovely...I haven't been around much lately and feel guilty for not commenting, but I HAVE been reading and following your panic over the shower. I'm so glad it all came together. Except I'm sad you posted these pictures, because now I want to drive to the store and buy a sheet cake, which I'd like to then eat all in one sitting. The food looks like it was divine!

My Sunday was great, we went to the market and bought the sweetest yummiest strawberries ever, and went to the grocery store that was delightfully air conditioned, then came home and watched La Vie En Rose. Nice Sunday
The sweets were SO good, I am not sure I can eat sweets yet!

Haha! No sheet cake!!! They never taste as good as you want them to. That is why I love all the little cupcake places popping up everywhere, one cupcake satisfies that cake craving very well. Thanks! No worries about not commenting, I have not even seen anyone's blogs for quite a few days now, It will take all day to catch up! I am hoping my hood was all away, and did not post much since last Wednesday.

It was not worth it for me, but it was worth it for the bride, she deserves a lovely shower. Her best friend from elementary school was not really actively pursuing a shower, so my sister in law stole it and put it in my lap to plan. I think even with all the stress, it turned out nicely.

Thank you, I could not keep reading, I was not home! I was at the malls with SIL and then with MIL then busting my ass the day before the shower to get everything done. Phew.... done!
The cupcake stores are expensive, so you kind of have to stop at one or two. ;-)

I wrote about it about a year ago here I usually make it for christmas presents for family, but have been known to sell a bar or two. It really does smell nice, husband has such sensitive skin that we were buying expensive homemade soap from someone here in town, then we happened to stop by a store we almost never go into and saw a soap making class the following day. We went back and took the class, I have been making own own soap now for about 5 years. Wow. Thanks! The shower food was really great, it went over quite well.
