Rambles about stuff

I love those boots - just so cheeky! Sounds like they are teaching you some good things in that photo class. That's something my husband is good at - telling me to look at what I'm shooting, see it, then ask myself what I like about it and how to put it in the viewfinder the way I want it. Paula Deene's accent is just a little hinky to me - I am a Texan and grew up in the south. The Y'all every time you turn around is a bit much. LOL And cheese in fudge? There's just something wrong with that.
[this is good]
I see you wading through Velveeta-infused 'fudge' in those wellies!
Thanks! I am really seeing photography a lot different than I ever have. The more I learn the more I realize I have to learn, Haha! I guess that is what happens. Oi! The Ya'll after every single sentence!!! makes me want to stab people! Haha!
Haha! I hope it comes off my boots!
It does me too. She's a good cook and I've tried a couple of her dishes and they were good - but to listen to her! Ugh! Realllllly stretching that accent and the use of y'all. If I am listening to her alone, I do much better than if I can take my anger out on some suspecting companion.
Oooh, Paula Deen's voice gets me too. And her food...it's so unnatural! Everything she makes is dipped, battered, and twice fried. I get a stomachache just thinking about it!
LOL Prairie - that's just down home cookin'. Though I have cut way back and no longer fry everything, there are times when I get just too hungry for childhood dishes.

love your post and your pic kicks ass!!!
You can do it! Eight photos...shoot, you can do that standing on your head!
hee-hee...my eyes are tired and when I first looked at your compliment at the end of the post I thought it said "Lavender, you are a cupcake."
&:o)

Hahaha!!! have never used any of her recipes, I am trying so hard to eat healthy and she makes some very decadent food.
there was a time when I could eat that stuff, now my tummy would never allow it.
Thank you Lady M! ;-)
yes, but they have to be only the one element and it is raining....
Hehehehe! I lIke that! I AM a cupcake!

"she puts velveta in fudge people! "

??? BLEH!!!!!!!!!! Count me out for that fudge! I have heard of a lot of weird food/dessert combos (you should see our Top Ramen cook book) but that is one of the weirdest!

Haha! oh top ramen......
Lucky you! Its raining and you've a photo about motion to do...wonder what that would look like on the windows...uh, cupcake :-)
I am so with you about Paula Deen's voice and her "y'all"" GRRRRRRRR
Yeah, what you said about PD's voice! I haven't tried any of her recipes. They look way too fattening for me!

I love your boots! :))
are these homework photos for the taking now or are you allowed to extract from your archives? (not suggesting that, btw, sounds like these themes are designed to teach and stretch minds and awareness.) believe it or not, paula deen is on *this very moment.* would you like me to tape for you? (haha, kidding, don't have a vcr, can't help ya out.)
Emotion. Geeze....all I can do is think of evil stuff like telling a mother that her baby is ugly then taking her picture. Hahahahahaha.....you know I don't really mean it... Gosh can't you just imagine the chaos you could start with a camera in some places ??!!

If you really want to start chaos you could wear the camera around your neck and carry a notepad and act very observant while occasionally taking notes followed by taking photos....and then repeat. I'm sure people would suddenly start to think they are somehow at some important event worthy of press coverage.

LOL....I'm tired and slap happy, so I guess I'm just rambling to amuse myself.

Have a wonderful holiday !!!

You could try picture that will evoke an emotion a broken egg on the floor, a lonely walker in the distance something singular in heavy black in white! Black & white often gets a sad emotion; bright colours often get the happier emotion you can play on this red can be romantic or danger just depends on how you use it.

Then for motion try rolling a ball (this may make a cat chase it) but follow the ball with the camera & take a photo you should have the ball (& if lucky cat) in focus & the back ground blurred (you will have to play with aperture extra)

The rest I think you should have no problem with! Just a few ideas Seeya Hugya *G*

Haha! Well, the eaves cover the windows just enough so that the rain does not hit our windows unless there is wind, and there is no wind. It is supposed to be nicer today, so maybe I will get a train picture. That would be fun to try to capture movement, but the train has no schedule. If I am supposed to get a train picture I guess I will. ;-)
I am so relaxed about my images, when I find something neat, I take pictures of it. This assignment is the complete opposite. To have a list of things to find is kind of restricting and closes my eyes to other stuff.
I guess I will go about this in a relaxed manner, have my list and look for anything that may fit somehow.
Yeah, her recipes are kind of old fashioned and look really really bad for you, but the good bad you know? The stuff that may taste yummy, but your stomach will hurt for hours afterward. Haha!
And Thanks! I wore them last night helping Mr. L unload the wood from the truck. ;-)
I am supposed to look for these elements now, but if I cannot find some of these I will look in my archives. But I want to find them now. I tend to just let the things show themselves to me, just walk and observe the beauty, no structure, and that works for me. So this is a challenge, to actually look for certain qualities.
Paula is ALWAYS on!!!! Haha! I swear the "food network" should be called the "food network Ya'll!" Thanks for the offer, and no thanks. Ha!
Ramble on Darling! Hahah! If I am desperate I will have Mr. L tickle one of the kids and capture that face. Hahah! I don't think this will be one of the hard ones, like I said, toddlers cry all the time! And they are Happy a lot too, so emotion should be easy. ;-)
Thanks for the suggestions! I was thinking of bouncing a ball though a long shutter speed. Now I need a ball.... Hahah! Black and white is an Awesome idea! Thanks!

I swear the "food network" should be called the "food network Ya'll!" LOL LOL! good one! I'd strongly encourage you to do the exercises in present time rather than access the files. It will help cultivate discipline and intent and a different perspective and thought process on photography and that is what you're needing. So exciting!

it is the exact opposite of the way I usually do things, I am hoping to open my process up more with this exercise. I too am excited and am getting ready to go out ad look for things on that list right now. ;-) The sun is shining, that is a rare thing this time of year.
yes, i know. :) an' yea, i was shocked to see the sun when i got up, pleasantly shocked!

Your class looks so fun..I'm so jealous.. I want to join photography class too!
BTW great post and pic , Lavender! :)
Eeeewwww...velveeta in fudge?! Are you kidding me? How could anyone desecrate fudge like that?
Anyway, have fun taking those pics! I'm glad you've been sleeping better as well. That's one thing in life that should be guaranteed, ya know?
you should look for one! It is really fun!!!
Thanks!
RIGHT?!!! I mean fudge is Perfect! Why put fake cheese in it!!!
I guess you are right after all, cheese does NOT go in everything!
