Silver Sparkle

2 and 4 grab me - I love the spats.
I like the simple black dress. Take the sweater just in case. I prefer the black shoes, even though I love red.

Personally, for day wear I always were sheer hose. Sheer might look better if you want to do the red shoe.

The magenta dress would look really nice with sheer hose and the black shoe too.

You definitely have the legs to pull off the short hem!

everything is adorable. LOVE those red shoes. love the mod magenta dress. love the whole first outfit--black & magenta. the spats thing is such a cute update of the 80s legwarmer fiasco! the short sleeved black dress looks adorable too. I love it all on you! you have a really good fashion sense.
[this is good]
I can't decide. They are ALL fabulous! Both pairs of shoes are sooo cool! (you got all of that for $135??!! That is a bargain!)
don't do sheer with any. scarves, bangles or hats will help carry it off or not depending on your basic outfit.
hey chicky --- your legs aren't "thick" in any way...

oh! I LOVE those spats! I seriously love them --- and they look great with the red shoes. (They'd work with the black shoes too.) (both pair of shoes are adorable!)

I like the black dress (3rd pic down) with natural color stockings, and the spats & black shoes. Yep!
I love those black shoes !!

I love those red shoes too !!

I live them all....the only drawback is staying warm. I really like the silver sparkle tights. Everything except the magenta trim dress would look great with the silver sparkle tights, so I'd go with what ever will keep you the warmest.
I promised I would never wear sheer hose again, only tights. I hate wearing nylons, haha! I am leaning towards the black dress, it is very soft and thick.
Thanks Cranky! I like to have fun, after seeing the magenta with the spats I thought No Way! Haha! I do like the spats, they are fun! and warm!
Ha! Thanks Homebody! Yup all that for $135, plus two bras.

Great outfits. Silver stocking for New Years a must. Love it all.
I told myself I would NEVER wear sheer hose again. I hated wearing them as a teen and swore I would never wear them again. I wanted to keep things simple so I could wear accessories, the magenta dress calls for less accessories. I like accessories....
Cute, but I have a grudge against sheer nylons. They are dead to me. Haha!
I am really leaning toward the black dress.... it is like wearing a giant t-shirt
loil, no to the sheer.
yeah, I am thinking warmest too. It is most likely going to snow. Ha! Heels and snow... that should be interesting. ;-) I am thinking of replacing the buttons on the spats to vintage abalone buttons, and vintage buttons on the black dress, it has two cheap looking buttons on the pockets
AWESOME Idea!!! I will save them for New Years!!! Thanks!

Best. Fashion show. Evar.

I'd go with black dress, black shoes, silver tights, black sweater for warmth.

& If you don't wear your sparkle tights at Christmas, when ya gonna wear 'em?
yeah, I can't do it, put toothpicks under my fingernails, do the water torture but for goodness sakes do not put nylons on my legs, plus I would have to shave my legs. Hahah!
black dress , simple and clean, and chic... pair that with the red shoes with knits.. ud be set
You are right.... see! This is SO hard! Thanks! I was SO glad the store I went to had cheap options. The most expensive thing I bought was the black dress at $20.
seriously that is what my gut is telling me right now. Thanks!!!
ditto your views on pantyhose. They are evil. Obviously invented by a man, hahah!
my responses aren't based on how you feel or don't feel about sheers (or any other item). i have knowing eyes. that's all.

Hahah! Exactly!!! I hated how cold my legs felt, the sound it made against the stubble of my legs, how after an hour in them the crotch has fallen to just above the knee leaving the waistband still amazingly at the waist. I always felt like I was wearing hammerpants under my church clothes. Hah!
Thanks, That is why I am asking! I expect honesty! I thank you for yours Dear!
Ok so --- black dress, black spats (oooh with abalone buttons...sharp!) and black shoes with the magenta or silver tights...
&:o)

I love all the shoes!!!!! I also love all the dresses. Not so crazy about the magenta tights. I don't love the silver ones, either, but for a special party, they'd be very festive.

The spats are adorable, and I'd definitely vote for the red shoes with the spats, so as to draw attention to just how adorable they are.

geez. what a preponderance of opinions. i'm glad half these people aren't dressing me! good luck loil in sorting through.
[this is good]
How in the world am I supposed to choose when they are all absolutely adorable?

If I had to narrow it down, I'd go with the magenta! Smokin' hot!
For sure the vintage buttons !!! You could always wear boots and carry your shoes to wear once you get inside.
I don't like spats for me, but on you they look awesome (I think my legs are just too short.) If you feel more comfortable in the black dress, go with it, feeling comfortable will help relax you and make for less social anxiety. Would be so cute with either the magenta or the silver tights (I love tights!) and the spats too! I'm partial to the black shoes myself, but love that both of them have nice square heels. Its the only way I can walk in anything higher than my combat boots.

I NEED those tights and those shoes...seriously.
Wear any of them! They are all super cute.
[this is good]
I love the short sleeved black dress! And the spats! :D
I like the magenta dress - no jacket - and with black stockings and black shoes. No spats. I'd like them better on your forearms.
@cat - good suggestion, with one caveat, it's the cold dark season her, sleeveless would be a strange look and not too comfy.
but won't it be indoors? They usually have places so overheated in winter that you don't need warm clothes inside - could just wear a jacket to get there.
@cat - yes; sometimes though the venues are on the cool side; indoor temp aside sleeveless is still an odd look though not unworkable.
Oo i like those ankle warmer things.

You did great! I like all of them. My vote is go for comfort and warmth. If it's one thing I HATE it's being uncomfortable in my clothes. The spats are to die for - very unique and chic. Both shoes are great - but the spats are a must. They add a nice flair and sense of both different and stylish.

Whatever you go with you're going be a knock out! AND I'm sure Mr. L will be very proud to have you on his arm.

btw; nylons.....shoot me now....if I never see another plastic egg I'll be the happiest woman in the world.

I changed the buttons last night, they look awesome!
I agree tree sweater, I had no idea that is what those magenta tights looked like on, I usually wear them with colorful fishnets over the top of them and with a longer skirt, in fact that magenta dress is shorter than any of my other dresses. Eek!
Haha! I gave them options from my own wardrobe, this is how I dress, haha! I like to have fun with my clothes.
You know I can totally see you in the magenta dress, haha! It is sweet, and only $8!
I switched the buttons on the spats last night, SO cute!
You are right about the comfortability thing. I will be more relaxed if I am more comfy. I was thinking about that last night a lot. I too LOVE tights, I always have, I have SO many! Haha! They are so much fun! I could never wear those shoes if it were not for the square heels, thank goodness those are coming back into style, more choices!
Haha! Right? The shoes were each $14.99, the tights were each $2.99. Can't go wrong with that!!!
Me Too, I think those are keepers!
Oooohhh!! That is a CUTE solution! Thanks! You just opened up a whole new world for my spats!
I bought them at Target!
Hahaha!! Plastic Eggs!!! I forgot about those! Hahaha!!!
Thanks I do love my spats. Got them at target!
[this is good]
I think they all look cute, but if I had to narrow it, magenta dress or black dress cropped sleeves with red shoes. In either case, I LOVE the spats.
The spats are Going! Hah!
