You did a good job with your homework assignment. I guess for Y if you come across nothing else, yogurt would work. hehehe I - indigo, indian, iris - you can come up with better ones than that I'm sure. LOL
I - Ice!

for I you could do ink?

Y---YOGAAAAAA or yarn.

(for me it would be yurt but then I'd have to take a picture of a picture)

I love word games. Off the top of my head-

Y: yeti, yurt, yoghurt, yatch, yuck, Yarrow, Yucca, yard, yardsale, yammer, yeoman, yam, YES, you, yiddish, Yew, young, yoga, youth, yawm, yell.

I: Iris, in, inward, innard, Inuit, invisible, inseam, inquisition, incarnate, incline, icon, idea, imbue, icicle, id, IUD, ibis, ibuprfen (or however you spell Advil), ice cream, idle, India, iron, Ivy, ivory, i-spy.
Lavender, you have so much talent. I am forever amazed at what you are able to see in everyday things. This is a fantastic group of photos, as always! When are you going to open an Etsy and start selling your prints online??
Ooh, great pictures! For your next project:

Y= yoga, yarn, yard, youthful

I= incline, immobile, intense, indigo, ill, insect

Great pictures all!!
and you were worried about not being able to do the assignment, you silly girrrl...
&;o)

Sorry to expose my photographic ignorance, but what do they mean by "perspective"?
GOOD ones! Seriously I am coming up with blanks on these two letters. Bazillions for L, but one for Y. Haha! Thanks for the help!
I do have a blown glass inkwell and pen set, Hmmmmmm!
Haha! YOGA!!! Of Course!!!! I was just there, and I did not make the connection!
Holy Cow You are GREAT at this!!!! Thank You!!!! Your lists stimulated me bunches!
Maybe in a while, I am gaining confidence. It may be soon. Thank you SO much!
Nice! I am getting quite a nice list of objects and things to shoot! Thank You!!!
Haha! Thanks! It was tough, I don't really roll that way, I just walk and really SEE everything, I never ask myself why I like it, I just do. That was the point of the exercise, to make me ask why I like these things so much.
well the teacher said it is the angle we take the photo, so we were supposed to take the picture from an unusual angle, not the usual perspective of us standing there and snapping the photo, but to get down, or above, juts to move around the subject, see it from different perspectives.
Holy cow, there is a banner ad below here that is driving me bananas! It is dancing people, seriously obnoxious!
I see.

(I hate the dancing ads.)
or maybe a cool tatoo? different kind of ink?
[das ist gut]
Oh, I love your "answers" to the homework!! I didn't want to push in with my version of your homework. But I'll post them now.
To me your pics show that color and texture really are your forte. At least, those three (with the color-perspective pic) are my favorites. And I love the curved line, too (maybe because it reminds me of my sign, aries).
[this is good]
Beautiful Pictures.
Another Y could be Yell.
;-) Thanks, dancing ads are horrible
Oooh You are creative! That is an awesome idea!
Young at heart
Would it help you if I told you that, almost every time you post pictures, I wish that I could buy a print? Seriously!
That would be an awesome portrait too.... Hmmm... Thanks!
I hope to stay that way
You are SO sweet! Thanks!
Great job on your homework. Your pictures are fascinating and beautiful as usual!

Fab pics as always. Your homework assignments make me want to take a photography class? I only have a point and shoot camera though. Do you need an SLR?

How about Y for yoga? Or do you have any yaks at your local zoo?

I for indigo? Or Indian (eg, a restaurant or curry that you like)?

One of my neighbours, Art and Tea, posted a while ago about some of the sites that she sells her images to. Worth checking out her post. I will try to put in the link.

http://artandtea.vox.com/library/post/micro-stock.html

Hummmm, not sure if that will turn out to be a link. And I meant yawn, not yawm. Yawm sounds like a good work though.

Thanks so much Karen!
You can do it with your point and shoot! Go Find texture, curved lines, straight lines, color, emotion, motion, and take a picture of something from a different perspective than standing or sitting. Go Ahead, I will wait here.... haha!
I did see her post, I am so very afraid of doing this, I will do it though. The yoga teacher wants to chat with me about selling some of my photos in the yoga studio. I need to figure out a theme, I have a hard time picking photos someone would like to buy.
OK, I will! I'll call the post 'homework from Lavender'. :)

Maybe start off with some nature'sish pics, Lavender, eg, that red leaf picture and maybe the woman holding the green apple one. I think those would look good in a yoga studio (my yoga teacher always talking about connecting with the natural energy around us). In terms of framing, just a plain black frame with white card aroudn the photo would look good, I think.

I am in the process of making 400 cards - my sister sells them at home parties - she invites all her rich friends and serves them a wee snack and drink. I make more money that way, rather than consignment in a shop, and can keep the cards affordable.
Oh, and put your photos up on a a couple of sites. I liked what she said about one site rejecting a photo and then another one selling lots of that rejected photo. Your's are fantastic and you have a good range of images. Get them out there and make yourself a bit of extra income.
Yay! I am glad you are going for the homework assignment! My teacher would be thrilled!
Also THANK YOU so much for the suggestions for the photos! I NEED that! The black frame with the white mat sounds nice too. I love that apple one. ;-)
Jax, you are right. I should just do it!
and 400 cards!!!! Holy Cow!!!
[this is good]
Hey, I'm glad you're still studying! Your homework assignment rocks.
You should try it too! It was kind of like a treasure hunt. It is fun to have a challenge!
Your teacher must be sooo impressed with your work!!
if he is he does not say so, haha!
Hmmm...if you still need letters, I could be inspiration[al], improv (if that describes you at all), interesting...Y could be yay, yarn (keep in mind that a good yarn is also a good story)
That's all I have, lol. Great job on your homework assignment!
INTERESTING!!! That could go for anything!!! AWESOME! thank you!
You're welcome! I just thought of a better one though: intelligent. You are and that should be your I
Aw!!! That is actually a really great idea, "I" and in me
