Black and White Saturday

Today is supposed to be 90+ degrees today. Three days ago it barely broke 60. Wacky spring!
Here are some black and white photos to help cool me down, it is already quite warm!

It sure is hot today in our part of the country. I like the idea of black and white photos as cooling. These are indeed very cool (as always -- your photos are one of the highlights of my day!). (The doll feet creep me out though.)

Terrific shooting, LOIL! The dool does look real, definitely David Lynch-y. Dunno why but for some reason the abstract shadow brought to mind concentration camp prisoners with numbers tattooed on their arms.

This is a really dark set of photographs...I love it. You show a special twist on beauty; it doesn't always have to look "pretty."

I thought it looked like an octopus too! I always have, when I was a kid we used to play like we were on a ship and all the ferns were octopi ready to eat us! Haha!

I started a bit when I first saw the doll photo too! Probably wouldn't look so much like a real child if not in b&w - very effective.

Interested to hear that you are having a wacky spring. We are having a pretty weird (but nice) Autumn down where I am in the Southern hemisphere.

Thats what I hear! Saturday, 90 (never gets this hot until August usually) today 65. So strange.
Yes, when it was in color it was obviously baby dolls legs, but black and white, the shadows create life, or lifelessness anyway.
