I suggest going back to this on a sunny day. I want to see the possibility of light, perhaps a blue sky. Evenning or dawn sky would be powerful here, a contrast of shadow and light.
It was sunny! But the trees block everything, you can barely even see these homes on the street right in front of them. But sunset sky through the rafters sounds awesome!
