[this is good]
Oh I forgot to ad.. dont move your iso above 250! unless you're shooting in really low light.. 400 and up will start to see a little noise above 500 = much noise.. if you need more light lower the f stop to about 3.5 I think that's the limit on the 18-135 mm and if you still need more bust out that tripod!

I love how the leaves are falling in this! thats allot of petals!
I had the tripod out, Good Advice about the ISO! we have not covered that in class yet! With the f stop so low, will it make tons of blur though? I thought the higher the fstop, the more area is in focus, am I wrong?
Truly amazing hun!
This is my favorite... hands down. It wins. Tell your niece that if she does do the whole modeling thing to not let anyone tell her she needs to lose weight. She looks beautiful!
This is my favorite- she looks like she's in some kind of wonderland!!!!
You/she picked a perfect outfit for the setting! I love the way her skirt blends with the flowers. I think the distance takes away a bit of the depth though, makes the shot look a bit flat? I do like the blurry falling flowers in the foreground though, counters flatness!
Good! It does look a little flat, THANKS! Yeah, the outfit was out of my closet, she looked so cute in it I sent it home with her. I chose the skirt because it would blend in well. ;-)
She feels like she needs to lose weight, not much though, just the 5 lbs she recently put on. I told her to not worry about it so much, she has a rockin bod. But she is 16 and she does not see perfection. What she does not know is that perfection is boring. There is nothing interesting about perfect. Thanks! This message WILL be relayed to her.
No wonderland, just my front yard. Haha!
I know you probably didn't intend it but this looks like a shot you'd see in Stand By Me (the movie).
It has been a long time since I saw that movie, the scene with the leaches gave me the creeps SO bad that I have a bit of a phobia of them now.
oh yeah, the leeches. that was a good scene. did you know that demi moore receives a treatment that employs them to keep her skin "fresh and vital?"
AHHHHHHH!!!!!! No she does NOT! That is disgusting!!!!! It gives me the creepy crawlies!
no kidding. she talked about it on letterman. here's one quote just for you:
“It detoxifies your blood,” she told Letterman. “And they have a little enzyme that when they’re biting down on you, gets released into your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit. And your health is optimized. It detoxified the blood and I’m feeling detoxified right now.”
*stares at computer screen with my gob wide open*
I think I will drink some green tea and water to detoxify instead. EW!
you sort of have the general idea with the f stop, but it also depends on the lens sometimes at a low iso with the 18-135 you get no bluur at all, play around with it. I so which I could shake the trees around here to get some shots like that
Do It! Shake those trees!
probably a good idea.
