Shut up Prada, just shut up with your creative genius. It hurts I love you so.

My "baby" the 125 red vino was loaded into a van and driven off to live in Monterey. :::waves:::
Whee... $4600 toward by NEW baby! I made the call for Ben's bike as he was just to anxious too leave the bike at the dealer any longer. That's when Greg told me they knew where my BIKE was. OMG. It is at an Aprilia storage facility. They are going there on their day off (4th of JULY) to pick up my bike! I had to ask the pressing question that's been plaguing me. "Is the seat cream color or black?" The one I saw online was cream and I fell in love with it. I did not want black, but I would have taken it. He said, " it's CREAM!" Happy dance! So we went down and got HIS new bike and paid for mine. I go in on SATURDAY and get my new sweet ride!
I've been looking at new helmets (and jackets) and am shifting toward the scorpion dahila products.
My husband is in New York right now on business and Eliot and I are home alone. So, at night I have a little trouble sleeping. My trick is to stay up late and watch Sex and the City episodes until I can no longer see. Generally, it works.
But last night I went to lie down and my eyes popped open, I tossed and turned. Then Eliot made some really strange breathing noises and I jumped up to check on him. Well, of course he spotted me and asked me to snuggle with him, I climbed right in hoping to just fall asleep. Nope. I was up again in awhile, sneaking back to my own bed around two in the morning. And just as I was almost asleep I saw a flash of light from my bedroom window that made my eyes pop open again. After a few of these quiet bright flashes I was up again peering out the window, counting the lightening as it got closer.
All of our windows upstairs are open because of the summer heat and as the storm increased with loud thunder and even more lightening I just kept my eyes closed hoping to sleep through it. By three it was pouring so hard and so noisy that I woke up dreaming I was sleeping outside in the rain but it was magically not touching me. It was so intense and surreal, nothing but the sound of rain. Really really loud waterfall rain. But, sadly even with that beautiful storm to lull me to sleep, I still didn't sleep enough.
Husband will be home today and he's promised me treats from Pure Food and Wine's takeout. And I plan on getting some sleep and some good running in in the days ahead.
I love clothes and shoes. And I adore Fluevogs and here's my issue. I'm vegan and I believe I shouldn't be galavanting around town in an animal's skin. And I'm pretty sure almost every cute shoe on the planet is made out of leather. Why oh why?
And by the way, my car has leather interior and I still wear all of the leather shoes I bought before I decided I just couldn't purchase them any longer.
However, I just bought two pairs of shoes tonight from zappos.com. I bought a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs plastic red glittery sandals and a pair of Nine West sandals, both sans leather. Then I head over to Fluevog and the designs are gorgeous and I'm left feeling left out and discouraged. So, I'll look at the bright side: with less ethical options at the moment I spend less. Zappos is fantastic, by the way. With their free shipping and free returns.
xoxo Big love to cruelty free fashion.
I rode up through the peninsula to SF this morning to deliver the Silver Vino to it's new owner, Ting. She and her husband live just a block or so from the train station. It was SO MUCH FUN riding to SF. I don't know why I had not done that before!
Ting and her husband are very happy to now have some city transportation! Horray all around!

UPDATE: THE SILVER VINO SOLD!
UPDATE: THE RED VINO SOLD!
The silver one sold to a wonderful couple who live in SF near the ball park. I am RIDING this up to them probably tomorrow and taking the train back. I have WANTED to ride a scooter to SF for YEARS and never got to. Now I do!
The red one (my baby, my 50th birthday present from Ben) is going to another wonderful couple in the Monterey area. Amazingly BOTH bikes sold within a day of listing them on Craigs list and I got my asking prices for both. I am thrilled because now I am where I needed to be to buy my new bike this week.
UPDATE: Ben has had a lot of emails about his bike, but no one has made the trip to look at it. The interest shows me it will sell - just might need to adjust the price a bit. TO HELP: I just relisted his bike with my own take on the copy. Lets see if I get more email hits than him!
